Happy Mouth Pelham Bits are a type of curb bit that uses two reins – a curb and a snaffle. The shank provides curb action, and there is a curb chain. They are often seen in hunters, jumpers, eventing and equitation. A Weymouth is a type of curb bit that is paired with a Bradoon to form a double bridle, which is used most commonly for upper level dressage. Full Cheeks on bits provide lateral guiding, and prevent the bit from being pulled through the mouth. They can most often be seen in eventing, show jumping, or hunters.
