A double joint bit reduces physical pressure on the horse and increased surface contact area of the bit against the most sensitive part of the horse results in far better control.
The Happy Mouth Eggbutt Bits are slightly oval, or egg-like, in shape, the Eggbutt is more stable than a loose ring, but more mobile than other rings. It will not pinch the horse’s lips. They are used in dressage, hunters, on young horses and occasionally in eventing or show jumping.
