Saddlery & Tack – Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the right saddle for my horse?
It depends on your discipline, your horse’s conformation, and your personal fit as a rider. Consider saddles with adjustable gullets or consult a qualified saddle fitter if you're unsure.
What’s the difference between anatomical and traditional bridles?
Anatomical bridles are designed to avoid pressure on sensitive areas like facial nerves and poll. They can improve comfort and reduce resistance in horses with sensitive heads.
How often should I clean my saddle and bridle?
Ideally, wipe down your tack after each ride with a damp cloth and deep clean with saddle soap or leather balm once a week. This keeps leather soft, supple, and safe.
Can synthetic tack be used for competitions?
Yes, many synthetic tack options are now accepted in local and affiliated competitions, especially if they replicate the appearance and function of traditional leather.
Do you offer tack for ponies or smaller horses?
Absolutely. We stock a full range of pony-sized tack, including smaller bridles, shorter girths, and junior stirrup leathers to ensure a safe and appropriate fit.
